This very important information has just come to me about the cancellation of the Sunshine Coast Qld Rally on the 7-9th Aug 2020.
There was a concerning reason for this cancellation due to the announcement of the next H.O.G National Rally at Carrara Stadium on the Gold Coast scheduled for the 10-12th July 2020.
Further information about the H.O.G National Rally will come our way shortly.

Below is the email I received from the Chapter hosting the event, explaining the decision of the cancellation.

Dear fellow Hoggies,
It is with great sadness that we, the Sunshine Coast Chapter Committee, must announce we have decided to cancel our planned Qld. State Rally on August 7-9th 2020.
On Monday 17th February 2020 an announcement was made by H-D Australia of their intent to conduct the Australian National H.O.G. Rally at Carrara Stadium on the Gold Coast scheduled for the 10th to 12th July 2020, some 4 weeks before ours.
This announcement has resulted in both the Sunshine Coast Chapter and Rally committees having to rethink and conduct a risk review of the current plans for the rally. Whilst reviewing the rally project plans and all its dependencies it has become very clear to the Chapter committee that we can no longer continue as we would like as this would place the Chapter in a position of unacceptable financial risk.
We would also like to thank H-D Australia for the financial offers they have put forward to assist us in continuing to run the Rally, however, having considered these offers we just cannot continue due to the financial risk.
With all the factors considered by the Sunshine Coast Chapter Committee the decision was made to cancel our 2020 Rally.
To everyone who has already registered, thank you for your support and rest assured that you will be contacted in coming days to receive your full ticket refund. We sincerely apologise for any inconvenience caused to those of you who have booked annual leave and accommodation.
As the Rally Committee begins the task of reversing over two years of work, the Chapter Committee would like to express a huge and heartfelt thank you to everyone who has volunteered so much so far, and to those who had intended to. We would have presented a great rally.
